Day Trip: Lemos Farm in Half Moon Bay

We took a day trip to Lemos Farm today with our dear friends.  We were thrilled it was a beautifully clear and warm day and that the kids are now all old enough to listen, not run off and entertain themselves.  We even got to have a few adult conversations without being interrupted!

We had planned to go the farm ever since we both bought the Groupon for $20 for a family of 4 that offered unlimited pony rides, train rides, goat food, hay rides and access to the bouncy house play area.  The deal is currently still on, by the way!  It was such a deal too.  And if you are looking for a place to get some cute photos, there are many photo opportunities.

The first stop was to feed those hungry goats.

Next up pony rides.  The kids all LOVED the pony rides!

Then it was on to the train rides.  The kids and adults got to enjoy this together. Unfortunately, none of the pictures from the train ride turned out too well... but the train ride through the old ghost town was fun.

After the train ride we ate our picnic lunch and let the kids play in the kiddie area and bouncy house, while the adults just sat and chatted.  Bouncy house pictures were also a fail! But, not to worry, we headed over to the hay ride, which was quite entertaining for the whole group.  Our girls were playing in the hay like it was snow.

On the way out, Todd and I couldn't resist the good ol' fashioned farm photo op. Can you spot the photo bomber?

After 3 hours at the farm we were ready for a little change of scenery.  We headed to The Moss Beach Distillery (known to be haunted by the blue lady) and sat outside with adult beverages, food, kids painting and coloring and Mina chilling in the ocean breeze.  It was the perfect end to our fun filled day!

This was our second visit to Lemos Farm, mentioned in this post from last year about our kind of successful camping trip at Costanoa which is very near Lemos Farm.
