Body Glove Dolphin Snorkel Tour- Kona, HI (Best trip for family!)

I’m happy to share our second post in the series of four of our Kona, Hawaii vacation. We took an organized tour with the girls that we felt was worth the money and that the girls would enjoy.  It was the only organized trip we took.  The Body Glove Dolphin Snorkel Tour was fantastic.

Kids in South Kona, Hawaii (Big Island)

Kids in South Kona, Hawaii (Big Island)

This is the first of four posts in a series of exciting adventures with kids on the Big Island in Hawaii. This post is centered in the area of South Kona, where we fit in four activities; Snorkeling/tide-pooling, Visiting a National Park, Touring the Painted Church and Lunch all between the hours of 11am-3pm. (This means we skipped many naps on vacation for the 3 year old.  It also meant frequent melt-downs, but, we rolled with it anyway.)  All of these activities are very close together and the admission fee was only $5/car for the National Park.  Pretty fun and inexpensive day!

Airport Tips and Entertainment for Kids on a Plane

Airport Tips and Entertainment for Kids on a Plane

The act of traveling can be a bit frustrating, especially with kids.  We are and have been big travelers since Maisy was first born, with her taking her first plane ride at only 8 weeks old.  Here are some tips we’ve learned over the years that we just put to use on our trip from SFO to Kona, Hawaii and back.  We enjoyed a lovely 7 days there and can’t wait to return.

I’ll be running a series of posts on kid friendly Kona, and one fun summary post, so enjoy and plan your summer vacations before summer’s over!  Please pipe up in the comments if I’ve missed any tips or tricks.
